John Paul Caponigro
"Digital Print Making Seminar" April 10th, 2007
ASMPDC is very happy to announce that acclaimed artist, photographer, educator, and speaker John Paul Caponigro will be coming to Washington to teach an afternoon seminar on fine digital printing followed by an evening lecture. We are grateful for the generous sponsorship of Epson and the participation of the University of Maryland where both these events will take place.
As a teacher, one of John Paul Caponigro's specific goals is to empower authentic individual creativity. In our afternoon seminar, John Paul will set this in motion with a variety of tools and techniques to help improve and refine your digital files and prints. He will address inks, papers, RIPs, profiles, and printers, with specific focus on Epson. We also anticipate a sneak peak at Photoshop CS3 and Lightroom. The evening lecture, sponsored by Epson, is titled, "Reflections," presenting highlights from John Paul's images of water, one of the planet's most precious resources.
John Paul will share his experiences with and thoughts on photography during a time when the medium is undergoing extraordinary changes. His social concerns include not only environmental issues, but the uses, abuses, and influences of visual media.
